Arborist Reports for Private Tree Removal
Toronto and other GTA Municipalities have developed tree bylaws to protect against the unnecessary removal of significant trees on private property. Trees in poor, declining, or hazardous condition are all eligible for removal permits. Is your tree doing damage to a load-bearing structure? It may also be eligible for a removal permit.
A Certified Arborist from Tree Doctors can educate you on your local bylaw requirements, perform a professional assessment of your tree and produce an arborist report ($250) to be submitted to the City along with your tree removal permit application. In addition, our arborists will help you choose a replacement tree species that is well-suited to your landscape and approved by Urban Forestry. We can even plant the new tree for you once you receive your permit.
